Anode assembly for electrolytic aluminium is a process in which the anode steel claw and the pre-baked anode carbon block are combined together.Each pre-baked anode carbon block is composed of three parts: aluminum guide rod, cast steel claw head and pre-baked anode carbon block, which are welded (between guide rod and cast steel claw) and connected by casting phosphorus pig iron to form the anode carbon block group.The anode carbon block group is generally single block group, there are also double block group and 3 block group.
Each aluminum electrolytic cell is composed of 8 ~ 32 groups of anode carbon blocks.The Anode assembly for electrolytic aluminium is generally made of primary aluminum and aluminum alloy. Its length is 2000 ~ 2200mm, the cross section is rectangular, and the size depends on the current passing through it. The general current density is 35 ~ 40A/cm2.Cast steel claw head is cast steel made of ZG25.According to the number of anode carbon blocks, the claws have three claws, four claws, six claws. The claws are arranged in a straight line or a rectangle. Each carbon block is connected to at least two claws.


The claw head should be sand washed and coated with graphite slurry before assembly, so as to prevent the erosion of the steel claw head by molten iron, improve the contact state between the steel claw and cast iron, reduce the contact pressure drop, and facilitate the removal of phosphorus and iron during the guide rod cycle.The anode carbon block has a carbon bowl for the steel claw head.The carbon bowl is round and its depth is generally 80 ~ 120mm.In order to improve the binding force of cast iron and carbon block, there are chute in the inner wall of the carbon bowl.
Cast anode carbon blocks using low phosphorus cast iron (commonly known as phosphorus pig iron).The anode automatic assembly process is as follows: Anode assembly for electrolytic aluminium is suspended by sprocket, and straightening, sand washing, graphite coating and other processes are completed automatically during the conveying process.When synchronizing with the pre-baked anode carbon blocks transported by the rail conveyor, the claw head is automatically placed into the carbon bowl, and several carbon bowls are automatically poured by the casting machine in a fixed amount of phosphorus pig iron.The cooled assembled carbon blocks are transported by sprocket trolleys.
The casting time of each anode is less than l min.
