4. The surface after processing is very smooth and easy to anodize and color. The disadvantage is that if it is aged at room temperature for a certain period of time after quenching, it will have an adverse effect on the strength (parking effect).
Effect of alloying elements on performance: 6063 aluminum alloy is a heat-treatable alloy with moderate strength in the AL-Mg-Si series. Mg and Si are the main alloying elements. 1.2 Effect and influence of Si The amount of Si should be such that all Mg in the alloy can exist in the form of Mg2Si phase to ensure that the role of Mg is fully exerted. As the Si content increases, the grains of the alloy become finer, the fluidity of the metal increases, the casting performance becomes better, the heat treatment strengthening effect increases, the tensile strength of the profile increases, the plasticity decreases, and the corrosion resistance deteriorates.
