Copper clad aluminum bar rod

The outer surface of the aluminum core and the inner surface of the copper tube are subjected to a scavenging oxide film, and the aluminum core is pressed into the copper tube, and after high temperature solid-liquid bonding, stretching or rolling, the solid phase of the copper tube and the aluminum core are combined to be drawn into a desired outer shape. A bimetal that forms a permanent interatomic metallurgical bond between them, with a bright, rounded surface and no defects. It is a new type of conductor material that combines the high quality and stable electrical conductivity of copper with the low cost of aluminum and low contact resistance.

Since the alternating current has a skin effect, most of the current is concentrated on the conductive surface, and only a small amount of current flows through the central portion. Therefore, the copper clad aluminum bar rod has both ultra-high conductivity of copper, and the density is only 40% of that of the copper rod, 3.6 tons/ Cubic meters (copper bars 8.9 tons / cubic meter) can save a lot of cost for downstream power equipment companies or their end users.
