2195 aluminium lithium alloy

New materials are an important foundation of aerospace technology, and the development of aerospace technology continues to raise new questions and requirements for materials science. Aluminum-lithium alloy is the fastest growing field in aviation metal materials in recent decades.

Regard lithium as the lightest metal element in the world. When lithium is added as an alloying element to metal aluminum, an aluminum-lithium alloy is formed. After the addition of lithium, the specific gravity of the alloy can be reduced, the stiffness can be increased, while still maintaining high strength, early corrosion resistance and fatigue resistance, and suitable ductility.

Because of its excellent comprehensive properties, 2195 aluminium lithium alloy is widely used in foreign aviation and aerospace fields.
In China, there are already many studies on the addition of alloy chemical elements to strengthen the properties of the 2195 aluminium lithium alloy. There are also some studies on the effect of aging process or pre-defined on the structure and performance. However, the 2195 aluminium lithium alloy for variable-control thermomechanical treatment is widely used in domestic aviation and aerospace fields. At present, most of the research results are about the properties of raw materials including homogenization treatment, and the influence of thermomechanical treatment on its structure and properties.
