As a new layered composite material, titanium / aluminum composite plate has the advantages of titanium and aluminum. It is a low-cost, high corrosion resistance and low-density composite material. It has a wide prospect in the fields of shipbuilding, aerospace, petrochemical, high-speed construction and decoration.
The main preparation methods of Ti Alu bimetal plate include solid-liquid roll casting, diffusion welding, explosive bonding and rolling bonding. The solid-liquid roll casting method has strong adaptability and is easy to control, but the process is complex and prone to interface oxidation
The combination effect is poor and the application range is small. Diffusion compounding method is simple to operate, but it has great restrictions on the processing size, expensive equipment and low production efficiency, so it is not suitable for the industrial production of large-scale composite plates. The interface of the explosive compounding method is "wavy" and the compounding effect is good, but the explosive compounding method has serious environmental and noise pollution, the production is seriously affected by the weather, and the compounding effect near the initiation point is poor, thus forming a low bonding area, which has been eliminated in foreign countries. The rolling compound method has high production efficiency. It can obtain titanium / aluminum composite plates with high bonding strength while maintaining good shape. It is suitable for large-scale industrial production. It is the mainstream preparation technology of titanium / aluminum composite plates.
1) Ta2 6061 Ti Alu bimetal plate with good shape, no interface defects and high performance was prepared by rolling composite technology based on vacuum stir friction welding packaging.
2) Dynamic recrystallization occurred in the titanium side of the hot-rolled Ta2 6061 Ti Alu bimetal plate, the grains in the aluminum side were seriously coarsened, and the tensile shear strength of the composite plate was 94.2 MPa.
3) After T6 treatment, the titanium side is further recrystallized, and the strength and hardness are reduced. The strength and hardness of aluminum matrix are improved through orovan strengthening mechanism. The bonding strength of composite plate is ficantly improved, reaching 141.2 MPa, an increase of about 50%.
