2024 Aluminum Aerospace Bar
2024 is a typical duralumin alloy in Al Cu mg system. It is a heat treatable alloy with high strength, easy machining, easy turning and general corrosion resistance.
After heat treatment (T3, T4, t351), the mechanical properties of 2024 aluminum Aerospace bar are ficantly improved. The T3 state parameters are as follows: tensile strength 470mpa, 0.2% yield strength 325mpa, elongation: 10%, fatigue strength 105Mpa, hardness 120hb.
2024 aluminum Aerospace bar is mainly used for aircraft structure, rivets, truck hub, propeller components and other structural parts
2024 is known as the "aircraft alloy" on the machined rod. It is one of the most popular alloys for cold heading and winding thread applications. It has high strength and excellent fatigue resistance. It's very good for parts that need a good strength to weight ratio. Under the condition of heat treatment and annealing, the machinability is good. We stock 2024-t3512024-t3511 and 2024-t4.
